Charleston Farmhouse Secret Downlands Walk

  • The Flying Fish pub, Denton Road, Newhaven, BN9 0QB United Kingdom (map)

A Unique Opportunity

An all-day walk with professional storyteller Jamie Crawford, from the Flying Fish in Denton over the South Downs to Charleston Farmhouse, historic home to writers and artists such as Duncan Grant and Vanessa Bell. Along the way you will be regaled with stories of the downland, whose age-old landscapes inspired the bohemian Bloomsbury group creatives who lived and worked at Charleston for much of the 20th century.

The ticket price for this event includes stories en route, followed by tea, cake and access to the gardens and galleries at Charleston, as well as free bus transport back to Newhaven at the end of the walk. We are also delighted to be able to offer optional entry to the house itself, with its fabulous interiors and art works, for the highly discounted price of £5pp.

Tickets £20  (with £10 discount on a limited number of tickets for BN9 residents)
