Shanties are wonderful, rousing songs with a long tradition and history. They have come from many different lands and have travelled all around the world with the sailors who sang them. They are a joy to sing, uplifting, moving, raucous, tender, full of power and love and the passions of life at sea.
Emily has been learning, singing and teaching shanties and songs of the sea for a number of years and cannot get enough of the exhiliration and joy of singing a good shanty!
Come and joing her for an uplifting session of singing right next to our river.
